Home businesses are unique.
Home businesses are unique. A majority of them are actually what is called a Micro-Business. Most won’t qualify for financing by a bank. Many are started with $500 or less. A large majority have no plans for employees or to move beyond the home office. And most of them require the owner to wear all the hats, owner, marketing dept., financial officer, IT, service provider/production dept. and customer service.

Why is that a problem?
The advice available for small businesses generally assumes you have employees, a traditional office space and funding that allows you to pay for advertising, etc..
Yet as a home-based micro-business, you are quite possibly operating on a shoestring with no plans for employees at all.
Talk about frustrating!
I know firsthand how hard it is to find solid information and advice for home businesses. I know how often you get excited about a new idea or service advertised for small businesses only to find it isn’t a fit for you at all. The truth of the matter is, micro-businesses need their own advice, roadmaps and coaching. Because in the world of small business, one size doesn’t fit all.
You need guidance that’s not geared toward hiring employees or renting office space. Guidance born out of the frustration and failures of treating a home business like a small business.
I understand.
I’ve been there. I suffered through the days of wondering why the small business advice for getting clients or getting the help I needed just wasn’t working. In the early days of my virtual assistance business it seemed like nothing I tried worked. I followed all the advice about local networking events, sending out snail mailings and purchasing ad space in our local paper.
Nothing worked. My poor little start-up was gasping for air like a fish out of water. The chances of it surviving a full year was highly unlikely.

"You are simply amazing!! This was extremely helpful and I know with the resources you've provided me, I feel a lot more confident that I can really do this!! I will definitely be recommending you to friends and family."
